Welcome to the Wales Rural Observatory website

The Wales Rural Observatory was established in 2003 to undertake independent research and analysis on social, economic and environmental issues in rural Wales. It was funded by the Welsh Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EARDF) to support evidence-based rural policy-making in Wales.

The WRO reports will continue to be available from this website.
